Author to address GOP women

The Central Pennsyl­vania Council of Republi­can Women will host Christopher W. Smithmyer at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 11 in the Ballroom at the Altoona Grand Hotel, 1 Sheraton Drive. This event is free and open to the public.

Along with signing his book, “A Criminal History of the Democrat Party,” Smithmyer will speak on the concept of government in modern America, the concept of God-given rights and how an active voting population is necessary to maintain the rights that we have by birth.

Gregory to host open houses

HOLLIDAYSBURG — State Rep. Jim Gregory, R-Hollidaysburg, is hosting open houses in his district offices in February to meet with local residents and showcase the services provided.

The open houses will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 7 at 135 Stadium Drive, Bell­wood, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 8 at 324 Allegheny St. in Hollidaysburg.
