Info sought in cemetery vandalism

Logan Township police remain interested in receiving information about headstones that were damaged Oct. 30 in Calvary Cemetery, 2417 Pleasant Valley Blvd.

Police said that four headstones were overturned and a fire was set in the cemetery’s trash barrel.

Snow Shoe residence burglarized

A rifle, sports memorabilia and two lock boxes were among items stolen Wednesday or Thursday from a residence on Guenot Road, Snow Shoe Township.

A garden tool was used to break the glass of a rear door and forcibly enter, state police at Rockview said Satur­day. The time of the entry was between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 4:40 p.m. Thursday, state police said.

The stolen rifle is a Savage 30-30 and the stolen memorabilia includes sports cards and photographs. Police said they do not know the direction the suspect or suspects fled.

PHILIPSBURG

Suspect orders phones using false name

Police are trying to identify who created an account under the name of a 76-year-old Philipsburg woman, then ordered two cellphones sometime between Nov. 1 and 7.

The woman refused to pay for the cellphones and advised T-Mobile that she had not created the account nor placed the order, state police at Philipsburg said.
