Gerald E. Smith Jr., 43, 446 Hazenstab Drive, Duncansville, charged by Altoona police with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility and possession of a controlled substance on the 1500 block of Ninth Avenue July 15; and with same charges on the 3300 block of Beale Avenue July 11; and with same charges on the 1700 block of Seventh Avenue June 27.

Franklin D. Koch Jr., 53, 511 23rd St., charged by UPMC Altoona police with defiant trespass, three counts of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance in a waiting room June 19. Guilty plea entered to charge of defiant trespass and one charge of disorderly conduct; other charges were dismissed July 11.

Matthew J. Buonforte, 19, 18 Sheron Court, Randolph, N.J., charged by Logan Township police with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on the 800 block of Campus View Drive Feb. 10. Guilty plea entered to charge of possession of drug paraphernalia; other charges were withdrawn June 28.

Joseph W. Lantz Sr., 24, 311 60th St., Apt. F, Altoona, charged by Allegheny Township police with simple assault and harassment at his residence June 24.
Charles A. Ellis III, 55, 205 W. Garber St., Mount Union, charged by Logan Township police with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property at Johnny U-Pull-It, 1555 Mill Run Road, Altoona, June 26.
