Police probe diamond heist

Suspects fled Macy’s with pricey tennis bracelets

Logan Township police continue to investigate the theft of $16,000 in diamond jewelry.

About 7:30 p.m. Tuesday two unidentified men ran off with three diamond tennis bracelets from Macy’s in the Logan Valley Mall, police said. A fourth bracelet was dropped by the men as they fled the store.

Police said a third unidentified man was waiting in a dark-colored sedan in the back parking lot behind the Macy’s store and a witness saw the car drive out of the parking lot and turn right onto Goods Lane.

One of the two men in the store was described as a dark-skinned black man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt or jacket, while the second man was described as an Hispanic male with some facial hair.

Two of the bracelets were valued at $6,000 each while the third was priced at $4,000.

The diamond bracelet that was dropped by the thieves in the store was also valued at $4,000.

Police said the investigation into the theft remains ongoing.
