Tyrone man faces charges after throwing bike parts
From Mirror staff reports
A Tyrone man faces charges after he allegedly threw the front wheel of a bicycle onto the street and punctured the tire of a police car.
Kaw-Liga Yo-Ho Riggleman, 38, of 769 Washington Ave., was arrested early Saturday on the 700 block of Washington Avenue after he allegedly started throwing bicycle parts on the road and then struggled with police when they tried to arrest him.
Tyrone police were called about 1:15 a.m. Saturday and told that Riggleman was throwing items on the street.
When an officer was pulling up in front of Riggleman’s house, Riggleman threw the front rim of a tire onto the road.
The patrol vehicle ran over the wheel, puncturing a tire, according to police.
Riggleman was allegedly intoxicated and became combative and aggressive when police tried talking to him.
Police said Riggleman refused requests to calm down and struggled briefly with officers when they took him into custody.
Riggleman was arraigned on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, as well as public drunkenness, and lodged in Blair County Prison with bail set at 10 percent of $15,000.
A preliminary hearing is slated for today at Tyrone District Court.
