Notary seminars planned
The Pennsylvania Association of Notaries will host multiple educational seminars in October for Altoona-area notaries and motor vehicle agents.
The seminars will be held at the Hampton Inn Altoona, 180 Charlotte Drive, on various dates. The cost for each notary seminar is $69.
A First Time Notary Seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 2 and fulfills the three-hour mandatory education provision for new notaries. The Everyday Notary Challenges seminar will be the same day from 1 to 4 p.m. and will focus on problem documents and serve as exam prep for the notary examination.
A Notary Reappointment Seminar will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 3. It fulfills the state’s educational requirement for re-appointed notaries.
It will cover new aspects of the Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts.
The MVcourse Basic Seminar will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 4 and includes required training for new motor vehicle agents and their employees who have one year or less of motor vehicle paperwork experience. The cost for this seminar is $145.
