Imler man killed at job site
PennDOT?worker was passenger on machine
State police have identified a PennDOT employee killed Thursday while working along a Frankstown Township road.
Bryan Chamberlain, 30, of Imler, was killed Thursday about 1 p.m. when a piece of heavy equipment on which he was a passenger on the berm of Juniata Valley Road slipped out of gear and started to roll backward, state police at Hollidaysburg released on Friday.
The operator of the equipment tried to stop the machine from rolling backward, but it traveled off the berm and down a steep embankment. Police said the driver jumped off before the machine went over the embankment, and Chamberlain was thrown off and crushed between the equipment and a tree.
