Fight leads to

party discovery

An argument at Nittany Pointe led to the discovery of a large party with 92 people inside one apartment, according to Logan Township police.

Police said it happened Aug. 20 at 331 Campus view Drive where officers responded to a report of a fight at about 11:15 p.m. and found 19-year-old Eren Ibisi, 19, of Langhorne, arguing with 19-year-old Mylsa Rojasgalan, of Matawan, N.J. Inside the apartment was a loud party with 92 people inside, police said.

Rojasgalan, along with 18-year-old Elizabeth Anderson, of Lewisberry, and 19-year-old Alexis Mitchell, of Johnstown, were cited for violating the township’s disorderly gathering ordinance.

Ibisi was also cited for disorderly gathering as well as underage drinking, police said.

City woman faces theft charges

An Altoona woman faces charges after police say she stole a flower basket containing a GPS tracker off a grave in Logan Township.

According to police, the flower basket was taken from a grave and traced to the home of Michelle Aman, 41, in Altoona. Police allege Aman is responsible for taking items from graves at Grandview Cemetery and Calvary Cemetery.

The items, including a concrete bench and a solar light, had been stolen from graves in May and June with officers recovering some of the items reported stolen, police noted.
