Body found in reservoir
HOLLSOPPLE (AP) — Officials said the body of a missing paddleboarder has been recovered from a western Pennsylvania reservoir almost a week after he went missing.
State police in Somerset County said the body of 18-year-old Joseph Dubics of Seward was found shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday at Quemahoning Dam Reservoir.
Police said an autopsy and toxicology report will take several weeks, but no foul play or suspicious circumstances are believed to be involved.
The recent Ligonier Valley High graduate and standout football player went missing in the area Monday while paddleboarding.
Officials said remote-controlled submersible devices with video capabilities were used to scan the water below the surface, and once the body was found, divers went in to recover it from a depth of 74 feet.
