Teen drowns in hotel pool

A Norfolk, Va., teenager died after going under water in the pool at the Breezewood Holiday Inn on Tuesday.

Bedford County Coroner Rusty Styer said his office is treating the death of Caymon James, 19, as an accidental drowning, but an autopsy will be performed Thursday.

James went under the water in the pool. The hotel staff pulled him out of the water and started CPR. He was transported by ambulance to UPMC Bedford Memorial, where he was pronounced dead at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.


Two found dead in Centre County

State police at Philipsburg are investigating the deaths of two people at a Rush Township, Centre County, home.

According to a state police news release, a 68-year-old white male and a 38-year-old white male, both from Osceola Mills, were found dead by a family friend about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday. The identities of the deceased have not been released.

An autopsy is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Eichelberger sets last Town Hall

State Sen. John H. Eichelberger Jr., R-Blair, will hold his final Blair County Town Hall meeting on July 19.

Proof of 30th District residency is required for entry.

Eichelberger has held more than 100 town halls since taking office, typically two per year in each county that he has represented. This will be his 23rd in Blair County.
