Blair commissioners to hold community meeting at library

HOLLIDAYSBURG — Blair County commissioners will continue their series of community meetings tonight in Altoona, where they are to address several topics, including land bank and blighted properties, affordable housing and reassessment.

The session will start at 6 p.m. at the Altoona Area Public Library, 1600 Fifth Ave.

Commissioners initiated the community meetings in April, where they’ve offered information and taken questions about county government and related services.

After tonight’s session, the next community meeting is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Tyrone-Snyder Public Library, 1000 Pennsylvania Ave., Tyrone.

Additional meetings are scheduled for Aug. 21 in Martinsburg, Sept. 13 in Williamsburg and Sept. 25 in Roaring Spring, all starting at 6 p.m. in those communities’ libraries.

Commissioners already have held meetings in Claysburg, Bellwood and Hollidaysburg libraries.
