Two teens accused of breaking into mall

Two teenagers were arrested Tuesday morning after breaking into the Logan Valley Mall.

Logan Township police officers responded to the mall about 4:16 a.m. in response to a burglary alarm coming from an interior business.

Upon arrival, officers met with Altoona police and Allegheny Township officers who were already on scene.

Officers located a shattered door at the southern entrance of the mall and subsequently located two suspects inside of the mall with multiple stolen items from various businesses in their possession.

Bryan M. Ponder, 19, Hollidaysburg, and Devin Morris, 18, Duncansville, were placed under arrest and connected with the burglary of Herbal Equipment and Distribution hours earlier, as well as the theft of an item from the outside rack of Kmart, police said.

The charges are being filed in conjunction with the Altoona Police Department.
