Disability Rights Pa. forum planned
Disability Rights Pennsylvania is hosting a public forum Thursday in Altoona to review its three-year strategic work plan.
The free public event will held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Element Church, 3415 Pleasant Valley Blvd. American Sign Language and Communication Access Real-Time Translation services will be provided at the forum.
The public is encouraged to attend and speak during the open forum session about topics ranging from discrimination, special education, voting access, assistive technology, employment, health care and more.
Parking is free and available in the shopping plaza. A light lunch will be served for attendees.
The disability rights organization also will have an outreach booth at the Altoona Curve game starting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. The public can stop by the booth to pick up information about intake services and disability advocacy.
