News in brief from around the area

Water Authority plans construction

Altoona Water Authority workers will replace a water line on 58th Street between Sixth Avenue and California Avenue in Eldorado between mid-June and late September.

There will be traffic disruptions during working hours, which generally will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Those disruptions will include a restriction to one-lane on 58th Street, with flaggers. During the construction period, Evergreen Manors residents should use the California Avenue, rather than the Boyce Avenue access.
