Teen placed in juvenile detention
A domestic dispute between two 14-year-old girls involving a knife has landed a juvenile in a detention facility, according to police.
It happened about
10:30 a.m. Monday on the 300 block of Second Avenue. Altoona police said a 14-year-old girl attacked another 14-year-old girl with a knife.
The girl wielding the knife ultimately stabbed herself in the arm when the other girl attempted to block the blade and get away, police said.
Police noted the 14-year-old girl with the knife was on juvenile probation and was subsequently placed in a juvenile detention facility.
