Coalport woman pleads to charges
Iraca accused of stealing ammo
CLEARFIELD — A Coalport woman accused of stealing ammunition pleaded guilty Tuesday in Clearfield County Court.
According to police, Tiffany Kaye Iraca, 31, entered Bob’s Army Navy Store in downtown Clearfield on July 5 where she looked around about 30 minutes before leaving.
She returned about eight minutes later carrying a purse. Within two minutes, she had a camouflage backpack on her back.
She and a man can be seen on the surveillance video together at the gun rack where she removed ammunition and put it in her purse.
The two made a purchase at the gun counter before leaving.
The video helped authorities identify the female as Iraca and the man as Brian Weakland.
A few weeks later Weakland returned to the store offering to pay for the items taken. He said he was not aware at the time that Iraca had removed the ammunition.
Iraca was sentenced to 90 days to one year in jail and two years’ probation for felony retail theft by Judge Paul E. Cherry on Tuesday.
Iraca was also ordered to pay more than $1,000 in restitution.
In a second retail theft case, she was sentenced to two years’ concurrent probation and was ordered to pay $10 in restitution to the Dollar General store in Irvona.
