Work to start on interchange
Cottles Asphalt Maintenance Inc. of Everett will begin work Monday on the safety improvements project in McAlevy’s Fort, PennDOT said. The contractor will begin preliminary work consisting of tree trimming and installation of a protective fence, as well as erosion and sedimentation measures. Traffic will be controlled through single lane closures with flaggers.
Cambria County receives trail funds
Cambria County will be getting a grant for construction and maintenance of new ATV trails at Rock Run Recreation Area in Patton, state Rep. Frank Burns, D-Johnstown, said. The $86,000 in funds will go toward the purchase of equipment that will be used to construct and maintain about 140 miles of off-highway vehicle trails at the recreational area.
