Woman accused of ‘Tasering’ patrons
Swab likely to face charges over New Year’s incident
A Bedford County woman likely will face charges after she allegedly got drunk on New Year’s and assaulted patrons of a Logan Township social club with a stun gun.
Danelle M. Swab, 30, of Bedford, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Jan. 1 at the Catholic War Veterans Club on the 200 block of Valley Avenue after Logan Township responded for a report of a highly intoxicated woman “Tasering” patrons of the club’s bar.
According to Logan Township police, Swab had caused a “significant disturbance” inside the club and a friend had put her in his vehicle to drive her home. Police said Swab pulled out a hand-held stun gun and stunned the man before getting out of his vehicle and walking back inside the club.
Once inside, Swab allegedly assaulted other patrons with the stun gun before patrons were able to get Swab’s car keys and lock her outside the building.
Police noted Swab struggled with officers when they told her that she was under arrest and once in the back of a patrol vehicle, Swab allegedly tried to kick out the back window.
Police said charges are pending.
