Two charged in Bedford County robberies

A pair of Buffalo Mills residents are facing charges in connection with two Bedford County robberies on Dec. 14 and Jan. 2, online court documents show.

James Adam Ohler, 36, and Mary Edna Hogamier, 33, are each facing multiple charges in connection with the robberies, state police at Bedford said.

The arrests came after a Jan. 2 armed robbery of a Hyndman store, in which an individual brandishing a handgun entered the store and demanded money from the register and safe. The individual fled with an unknown amount of cash.

Police said information was received after that robbery that named the pair as suspects in a Dec. 14 robbery.

Ohler and Hogamier were interviewed by state police and allegedly confessed to the Dec. 14 robbery. Charges were filed Tuesday in the Jan. 2 robbery, police said.

Ohler and Hogamier each are facing multiple counts in each case, including first-degree felony counts of robbery and conspiracy to robbery and misdemeanor counts of theft, terroristic threats, simple assault, receiving stolen property and conspiracy, online court documents show.

Ohler waived all of the charges from both cases onto Bedford County Court on Wednesday. He is in Bedford County Prison on $150,000 cash bail.

Hogamier is on $150,000 unsecured bail. She waived the charges from the first robbery onto county court on Wednesday and has a preliminary hearing in the second case set for Jan. 17.
