A Bedford man faces charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment of another person and harassment after firing a gun near two women.

John David Kelly, 47, of Bedford Valley Road got into a verbal altercation with his girlfriend and asked her to leave last Saturday prior to firing two gunshots near her and her friend, both Maryland residents, who were present in the residence, according to a state police report.

Kelly’s $30,000 bail was posted. A preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Tonya M. Osman is scheduled for Jan. 17 at 9 a.m.
