Home search yields meth, cash, guns

Six suspects facing charges

HUNTINGDON — An investigation in Huntingdon County has led to the arrest of a half-dozen people on drug charges.

Huntingdon County District Attorney David Smith said Friday that the arrests were made as part of a buy-bust operation involving crystal methamphetamine and a subsequent search of a Huntingdon home.

Smith said the investigation was conducted by the Huntingdon Borough police, along with the Huntingdon County Drug Task Force and agents with the state Attorney General’s Office and the Huntingdon County District Attorney’s Office.

According to the district attorney, Harry Fisher Jr., 30, and Olivia Miller, 18, both of Huntingdon, were arrested after the alleged delivery of crystal meth on Thursday. A subsequent search of Fisher’s vehicle turned up 2 grams of the drug, a digital scale, drug paraphernalia and $400 in cash.

Fisher allegedly was bringing in large quantities of crystal meth to the Huntingdon County area and distributing it, Smith noted.

A search of 1114 Washington St. after the arrests of Fisher and Miller turned up more crystal meth, cash and guns. Four people in the home were taken into custody and charged with drug-related offenses, including Huntingdon residents John Giles, 47; Kaci Fisher, 22; and Hahna Weyandt, 42; as well as Terry Bookwalter Jr., 26, of Mapleton Depot.

In all, police seized 14 guns, several marijuana plants, packaged marijuana, a half-ounce of crystal meth, digital scales, drug paraphernalia, $2,000 in cash and a custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Bail for each of the six suspects was set at $25,000 cash, and they were lodged in Huntingdon County Jail. Preliminary hearings are slated for Sept. 27 before Magisterial District Judge Richard Wilt.
