HUNTINGDON
Man accused of luring child
State police are trying to identify the driver of a white pick-up truck who stopped Saturday outside a Shirleysburg residence and tried to entice a 2-year-old boy to get into his truck.
The boy’s father told state police that he saw the truck and heard the driver tell his son: “Come here and see what’s in my truck,” prompting the father to begin yelling at the driver who fled north on Route 522.
The incident occurred about 12:45 p.m. while the father was working in the yard and the boy was playing near a sidewalk, state police said. The father described the driver as a white man with brown hair and a beard that covered his cheeks and jaw line. He was dressed in a dark-colored shirt, the father said.
Anyone with information should contact state police at Huntingdon.
