Business to move into new location

FRANKSTOWN — Fine Line Cabinets will move into its new building at 753 Locke Mountain Road on May 1.

Fine Line has been in operation in Blair County for more than 30 years. After experiencing a devastating fire April 25, 2016, that destroyed its original facility, the business continued to operate at a temporary location at 800 N. Third Ave. The lease on that building expires April 30.

During this time, a new 25,000 square-foot, state-of-the art facility was built on the original location.

Fine Line was approved for two loans from the Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission — $200,000 for the equipment and $400,000 for the building — to help pay for the project.

Fine Line covers the entire cabinet process from design to manufacture.

Fine Line supplies Sheetz stores and national hotel chains such as Fairfield Inns and Holiday Inns with casework and millwork.

Owner Doug Irvin said the opening of the new facility will enable Fine Line to increase production and create more jobs.

The Blair County Chamber of Commerce will mark the opening of the new building with a ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. May 2.
