Police: Employee burglarized Holiday Bowl, stealing money
An Altoona man faces charges after police say he burglarized a Logan Township bowling alley.
Logan Township police were dispatched to Holiday Bowl, 181 Bowling Lane, about 7 a.m. Saturday for a report of a burglary. Police said the burglary took place at 2:20 a.m., and an undisclosed amount of cash had been taken from cash register drawers and a safe.
A review of video surveillance allegedly showed that Dayshon A. McQueen, 24, of Altoona, an employee of the bowling lanes, was responsible, police said.
Police found McQueen at his home on Saturday, where officers also executed a search warrant. McQueen is charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor theft counts.
Bail was set by Magisterial District Judge Todd Kelly at 10 percent of $15,000, and McQueen was jailed to await his preliminary hearing on Aug. 18.
