City man charged for allegedly assaulting girlfriend, her son

An Altoona man faces charges after police say he assaulted his girlfriend after a three-person sex session turned sour.

Dennison Q. Graham, 32, of 308 Fifth Ave., Apt. 2, was arrested Thursday morning after an argument with his girlfriend allegedly turned violent, Altoona police said.

It apparently started earlier in the night when Graham asked his girlfriend to take part in a threesome with another male, one of Graham’s friends, police said. The girlfriend told police she willingly took part, but afterward Graham became upset because she allowed the other man to have sex with her without a condom, according to charges filed before Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey Auker.

The girlfriend told police that Graham was aware his friend wasn’t going to use a condom and had left the decision up to her, but afterward Graham became extremely agitated and began to yell at the woman while she tried to sleep.

When Graham asked for his car keys so he could leave, his girlfriend refused, later telling police Graham was still too drunk to drive.

It was then that Graham allegedly jumped on his girlfriend and began strangling her, according to police. When her son entered the room and tried to intervene, Graham allegedly choked him as well as threw a punch that caught the son’s lower lip, police noted.

When Altoona police were dispatched to the home at about 7 a.m., they reported finding fresh bruises on both Graham’s girlfriend and her son, who also had a swollen lip.

Graham was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey Auker on simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment charges and lodged in Blair County Prison in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
