Forest Avenue bridge work set
STATE COLLEGE – Work to replace the Forest Avenue Bridge on Route 1005 in Centre County will start Monday. The bridge will be closed, and a detour will be in place, PennDOT said.
The bridge spans Nittany Creek on Route 1005 in Walker Township, about 1.5 miles north of the intersection with Route 550. The bridge is 15 feet long and carries nearly 1,400 vehicles each day.
PennDOT Centre County Maintenance crews will perform the replacement work, which is expected to be completed in early August.
