Police: Woman tried to get drugs into prison

HOLLIDAYSBURG – A Bellwood woman faces more charges after police say officers at the Blair County Prison found drugs on her a second time.

Amy M. Osmolinski, 38, of 2123 Reightown Road, Bellwood, was first arrested on a bench warrant March 25 and taken to Blair County Prison, where guards said they found about a dozen pills, ranging from anti-seizure medications to muscle relaxers, hidden in Osmolinski’s bra, according to court records. Some of the pills had no markings and could not be identified.

Two of the drugs, Adderall and a muscle relaxer, are controlled substances, Hollidaysburg police noted in Osmolinski’s charges.

Osmolinski was arrested on charges, which include felony counts for the controlled substances and misdemeanor counts for the other pills, on Monday. After Osmolinski failed to post the $75,000 cash bail set by Magisterial District Judge Paula Aigner, she was taken to Blair County Prison where she was once again processed by prison staff in the intake area of the jail.

According to police, Osmolinski again had pills in her bra, as well as a bag of marijuana.

Wednesday, Osmolinski was arraigned on new charges filed by Hollidaysburg police, including additional felony and misdemeanor contraband counts and remanded to Blair County Prison in lieu of an additional $35,000 cash bail.

Osmolinski is scheduled to appear May 6 before Aigner for preliminary hearings on the cases.
