Police: Couple threatened to kill five people at house

MORRISDALE – A Clearfield County couple allegedly entered another family’s house, where they attacked their daughter and her boyfriend and threatened to kill five people at the home, state

police at Clearfield said Sunday.

During the alleged Saturday night attack, Robert A. Smarsh, 49, and Tonya S. Smarsh, 47, both of Morrisdale, walked into a Morris Township house and began an argument with their daughter and her boyfriend.

Police said Robert Smarsh struck the boyfriend, and Tonya Smarsh struck their daughter in the face.

The couple then allegedly threatened to kill five people in the house.

Police charged Robert and Tonya Smarsh with terroristic threats, simple assault, criminal trespass and other crimes, according to a news release.
