Teenager jailed after girl, 13, reports rape
From Mirror staff reports
PATTON – A Northern Cambria teenager is in jail for the alleged November rape of a 13-year-old girl at her Patton home, according to police.
Patton Borough police officers arrested Bradley Thomas Lloyd, 19, of 21 Cherry Ridge Terrace Tuesday on nearly a dozen charges stemming from the alleged attack, including rape, statutory sexual assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.
The victim told police she woke up to Lloyd rubbing her leg about 5 a.m. Nov. 3, and when she screamed at him to stop, he pinned her to the couch and assaulted her.
Assistant District Attorney Beth Bolton Penna said Lloyd was a friend of the victim’s older sibling and was at the home for a sleepover.
Investigators took the victim to Indiana County’s child advocacy center for a forensic interview to gather evidence for the case, she said.
Police Chief Vince Leppert said Lloyd was picked up at the same housing project where his older brother, Troy Edward Lloyd, 20, also of Northern Cambria, was arrested in April 2012 for stabbing a neighbor with an 18-inch decorative sword.
The elder Lloyd pleaded guilty in October to aggravated assault for the stabbing and was sentenced in December to 21/2 to 10 years in prison for the attack.
Bradley Lloyd is being held in Cambria County jail on 10 percent of a $100,000 bond.
