Ga. woman enters guilty plea in spa sex case
JOHNSTOWN – A 60-year-old Georgia woman entered a guilty plea Tuesday in federal court to a charge related to prostitution at the Sunset Health Spa on Pleasant Valley Boulevard.
Yon Park of Suwanee, Ga., pleaded guilty to one count of transportation for illegal sexual activity before U.S. District Judge Kim R. Gibson, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney for Western Pennsylvania.
Park’s husband, Steve Park, pleaded guilty to a money laundering charge. The release states that, in connection with the guilty plea, on Feb. 14, 2011, Yon Park “caused an individual to be transported in interstate or foreign commerce” to engage in prostitution.
Sentencing for Yon Park is scheduled for 10 a.m. Feb. 24, 2014, and Steve Park’s is scheduled for the same day at 11 a.m. Yon Park faces a sentence of as many as 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, while her husband faces up to 20 years and a $500,000 fine.
