Rep. Hess admitted to hospital
BEDFORD – State Rep. Dick Hess, R-Bedford, is under treatment in a Pittsburgh hospital for an undisclosed medical problem, county officials and a campaign representative said Tuesday.
County Commissioner Paul Crooks mentioned Hess in a prayer Tuesday before the commissioners weekly meeting. Crooks and Commissioners Chairman Kirt Morris confirmed that Hess had been hospitalized in Pittsburgh but said they couldn’t provide any other details.
Hess, 74, has served on the state House of Representatives since first winning his seat in 1986. He heads the House Transportation Committee and is set to return to Harrisburg for the fall session in late September.
