Harlow expected to be named next Tyrone superintendent
TYRONE — Tyrone Area school board will vote tonight in a special meeting on whether to elect district Business Administrator Cathy Harlow as its next superintendent.
Harlow, who has been with Tyrone for 19 years, would replace William Miller, who has served since 1970 and is considered one of the state’s longest-tenured superintendents.
Miller is retiring at the end of June.
Harlow was among seven candidates for the job, which would begin July 1 and come with a four-year contract. According to the meeting agenda, Harlow’s salary for 2013-14 will be $115,000.
