Girlfriend arrested for buying gun that killer used in Geeseytown murders

GEESEYTOWN — State police on Friday arrested Brenda Shultz, former girlfriend of Jeffrey Lee Michael who fatally shot three people in the Geeseytown area on Dec. 21, on charges that she illegally bought Michael a handgun that he used in the killing spree.

Shultz, who reportedly lived with Michael and her son near the site of the shootings, bought her boyfriend a handgun in January 2011 at a Hollidaysburg store, state police said.

The charges against Shultz include making a false written statement, a felony, and two counts of making false, unsworn statements to police. She faces a preliminary hearing Tuesday in Hollidaysburg.
