Former Altoona police officer found guilty

A Blair County jury convicted former Altoona police officer Duane “D.J.” Eichenlaub on all counts stemming from a 2010 fight the restroom of an Altoona lounge and subsequent attempts to cover-up the assault.

Eichenlaub was found guilty of aggravated assault and simple assault of Earl Eshelman of New Enterprise, simple assault and simple assault-mutual combat of Herman “Bo” Lardieri of Altoona, as well as conspiracy to hinder prosecution, tampering with public records, obstruction of the administration of justice in connection with a Memorial Day fight in the men’s room at Pellegrine’s Lounge.
