Nittany Energy of State College is now offering electricity.

Nittany Energy, which encompasses Nittany Oil and Nittany MinitMart, is a locally owned and operated family company. Nittany Oil has been serving Pennsyl­va­nia families for more than 50 years.

Nursing program recognized

The Saint Francis University Nursing BSN program has been ranked No. 1 in the United States.

The ranking was completed by rncareers.org, which examined 931 schools. SFU tied for the top spot.

A significant portion of the ranking’s criteria was determined by each school’s NCLEX-RN first-time pass rate. The licensure exam is required for students to begin their career in nursing. Saint Francis has touted a 100 percent first-time pass rate for five years in a row.

JARI sets safety conference

JARI will host the 17th annual Alleghenies Regional Safety Conference from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Frank J. Pasquerilla Conference Center in Johns­town.

The event will feature educational workshops on a variety of health and safety issues and will showcase vendors’ products and services.

The conference registration fee is $80 per person or $60 per person if a company registers four or more employees. This fee includes workshops, breakfast and lunch.
