HUNTINGDON

Mobile restaurant opening in Huntingdon County

The Garden Harvest, a farm to fork food truck located at Steele Farm, off of Route 22 at 10879 Piney Ridge Road, will open at 10 a.m. May 24.

The new eatery, owned by Anthia DiSalvo of Mount Union and Laura Hess of Huntingdon, will focus on fresh food and healthy dining.

DiSalvo and Hess have applied four years’ experience in marketing, farming and food preparation to the new venture.

“We started planning the gardens where we will harvest the food for the restaurant in 2014,” said Hess, who operates the Steele Farm with her partner Adam Steele. “We’re focused on food safety, sustainability and nutritious food prepared with gourmet flavors.”
