Leadership conference coming to Altoona

CBS co-host, former Southwest Airlines executive to speak

For the second year, the world’s largest one-day leadership conference is coming to Altoona.

Known as Leadercast Live 2019, the conference will be simulcasted locally from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 10 at the Wright Place for Kids, 1809 11th St., Altoona.

The Nehemiah Project will host the event, and the theme is “Leading Healthy Teams.”

Broadcast live each year from Atlanta to hundreds of host sites around the globe, Leadercast Live will bring together experts in leadership and organizational health to give attendees tools and resources to lead their teams effectively.

According to Leadercast organizers, healthy teams yield collaboration, fulfilled employees, high organizational engagement and greater long-term success. The event is open to professionals and workers in all fields, including educators, medical, military and nonprofit personnel as well as those in sales, consultants and athletics.

Among the speakers will be Gayle King, co-host of “CBS This Morning “and Ginger Hardage, former senior vice president of Culture and Communications at Southwest Airlines.

The event includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, door prizes and valet parking. Cost is $69 until April 1, $79 until May 1 and $89 until May 10.
