Chamber sets breakfast club

The Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Club will meet at 7:30 a.m. Dec. 20 at the Bull Pen Restaurant.

Eric Palmer, executive director of the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center will present “The Critical Role of Career and Technical Education in Build­ing Strong Communities.”

Cost to attend is $6.

Business After Hours to meet

The Blair County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 13.

The event is being co-sponsored by Circle of Life Holistic Health Center and Howard Hanna Johnston Realty Services and will be held at Circle of Life, 961 Old Sixth Avenue Road.

Cost to attend is $10 for chamber members and $20 for nonmembers.

Sprint joins Kranich’s Plaza

Sprint will join Jersey Mike’s Subs as a tenant in the new Kranich’s Plaza, 505 E. Plank Road, when it officially opens for business on Monday.

Business hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Christmas Star Day planned

Eat’n Park Restaurants have created Christmas Star Day to be held on Thursday as part of its 40th annual Caring for Kids Campaign, which raises funds for children’s hospitals throughout the region.

When guests visit their local Eat’n Park restaurant on Christmas Star Day, they will be able to help children receive the medical attention that they need by adding a donation directly to their check.

Every donation made on Christmas Star Day will benefit each restaurant’s local children’s hospital.
