New hires and promotions
Dr. Muhammad Imtiaz has joined Conemaugh Physician Group’s critical care and pulmonology practices.
Imtiaz, who is board-certified in internal medicine, critical care medicine and pulmonary medicine, will see inpatients at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, and outpatients at Conemaugh Physician Group – Pulmonary, 1111 Franklin St., Johnstown.
Dr. Oumou Belemou, a podiatrist, has joined the medical staff at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center and Conemaugh Nason Medical Center.
Belemou will provide podiatric care and treatment to children and adult patients of all ages with a variety of ailments and conditions caused by chronic diseases, such as diabetes. She offers services, including but not limited to, limb salvage and hammer toes procedures.
Dr. Mehran Langroudi, a board-certified obstetrics/gynecology physician, has joined Conemaugh Nason Physician Group and will see patients at Conemaugh Nason Physician Group — OB/Gyn, in Roaring Spring.
Langroudi specializes in women’s health, medical and surgical care, disorders of the reproductive system, pregnancy and childbirth.
Awards and honors
State Rep. Judy Ward, R-Hollidaysburg, was named Legislator of the Year by the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association.
She was given the award for her efforts in assisting pharmacists to provide excellent patient care.
Jane Sheffield of Hollidaysburg has been elected to the Pennsylvania Humanities Council’s Board of Directors.
Sheffield is the executive director of the Allegheny Ridge Corporation.
