PHILIPSBURG — Hometown Market, located at 1323 Walton St., is assuring customers that the store is open and that renovations are nearly complete.

The remodeling began last summer to expand the 7,500-square foot-store with an additional 5,500 square-feet in order to house more cooler and aisle space.

The Philipsburg Hometown Market, one of three Hometown Market locations in Pennsylvania, only had to close its doors for one day in October so that it could tackle larger construction projects that might interfere with daily business operations.

The new store design, slated to be complete in a few weeks, will improve the traffic flow as shoppers navigate the store.

The renovations will result in digital monitors, a walk-in beer cooler and an updated appearance inside and out.
