Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center has earned an “A” rating for its efforts in protecting patients from harm and meeting the highest safety standards in the United States.
The recognition is from The Leapfrog Group, a Washington, D.C.-based organization aiming to improve health care quality and safety for consumers and purchasers. Conemaugh Memorial also earned an “A” for fall 2017 and spring 2018.
The Safety Grade assigns an A, B, C, D or F grade to hospitals across the country based on performance in preventing medical errors, infections and other harms to patients in their care.
SFU receives award
The nursing program at Saint Francis University recently received an award from the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
The 2018 Innovations in Professional Nursing Education Award is “in recognition of outstanding work re-envisioning traditional models for nursing education and programmatic change.”
Saint Francis received this award, in the small liberal arts schools division, from over 800 member nursing programs across the United States.
