FNB Corp. helps relief efforts

FNB Corp. has donated $60,000 to the American Red Cross to aid Hurricane Florence relief efforts in North and South Carolina. The contribution includes both a corporate contribution and funds raised through a special employee giving event.

In the past several years, FNB has provided financial support to victims of natural disasters and other tragedies as part of its multi-million-dollar commitment to the communities it serves. In addition, employees have committed tens of thousands of hours of volunteer time each year.

The company has total assets of $32 billion, and approximately 400 banking offices throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Farm-City dinner scheduled

The Blair County Chamber of Commerce Farm-City Committee will host its annual Farm-City Dinner on Nov. 1 at Freedom Township Fire Hall.

A milk/punch reception will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a family-style turkey dinner at 7 p.m.

The featured speaker will be former Pennsylvania State Dairy Princess Yvonne Longenecker of Williamsburg.

The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Blair County Agricultural Community Excellence Award to the Tyrone Area Future Farmers of America Chapter.
