Food safety course set
Penn State Cooperative Extension will be offering a ServSafe Food Safety Certification training course from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 29 and from 9 a.m. to noon with the certification exam at 1 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Penn State Extension Meeting Room, Domestic Relations Building, 499 Manor Drive, Ebensburg.
Cost for the two-day certification course is $185. Two or more participants registering from the same establishment may register for $175 each.
Elaine Smith, extension educator for Penn State Extension, will be the instructor.

PSU offers feed workshop
Penn State’s Extension Dairy Team will hold a workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 24 at Dry Creek Farm, 811 Piney Creek Road, to help producers evaluate and better understand the feeds that are available for their herds.
The program will offer hands-on learning, demonstrations and group discussions and is designed for producers, herd managers, farm employees and industry representatives.
