New business will open in Sellers Jewelry building
A new business will open Oct. 19 in the old Sellers Jewelry building, 1410 11th Ave.
Deb Love, owner of Love it Upcycled Boutique, and LaVonne Falbo, owner of LaVintage Decor, will share a space in the building, which was purchased by Michael Kranich in 1978.
This is the third location for Love it Upcycled Boutique. Love’s other locations are in Huntingdon and State College. Love it buys and sells designer and trendy clothing and accessories.
This is the second location for LaVintage Decor. The new store will house rustic bridal and event rentals, and sell artistic furniture, art and jewelry. The original LaVintage Decor in Juniata will remain with some improvements including a DIY center and showroom for the LaVintage Decor line of Farmhouse Furniture and Accessories.
Customers may refer to the store as Love it-LaVintage. The phone number for the new store is 942-2301.
Blair County Chamber to hold networking event
The Blair County Chamber of Commerce WE-LEaD committee will host a networking event geared toward women in the business community from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 22 on the patio at Park Hills Golf Club.
The event, sponsored by Advantage Resource Group, will feature hot hors d’oeuvres and beverages. The cost to attend is $20 for chamber members and $40 for non-members and includes two complimentary beverage tickets.
