Sheetz set as keynote speaker

Steve Sheetz, chairman of Sheetz Family Council, will be the keynote speaker for the bizX luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 26 at the Blair County Convention Center.

In his presentation titled, “Risks and Opportunities of Growing a Business,” Sheetz will explain how his family turned adversity into success to become one of the area’s leading businesses.

The luncheon will kick off the first bizX Regional Trade Show, sponsored by the Blair County Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County.

Youth center reopens

The Coal Country Hangout Youth Cen­ter, 1102 Maple Ave., has reopened.

The teen center is open from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday evenings for a $1 ad­mission.

Ann Staples is the new executive director.
