New hires and promotions

Chad C. Lego of Vinegrove, Ky., has accepted a position in the Department of Veterans Affairs in Louisville, Ky.

Lego, who recently passed his Licensed Clinical Social Worker exam, is a graduate of Altoona Area High School. He has a bachelors degree from Penn State and a masters degree in social work from the University of Louisville.

Sara Middler, a physician’s assistant, has joined Empower3 Center for Health LLC, Altoona.

Middler is a graduate of Bishop McCort High School, and she recently graduated from Saint Francis University with a Masters of Physician Assistant Sciences.

Awards and honors

Jim Garver of Martinsburg, an attorney at the law firm of Edgar Snyder & Associates, Altoona, has been selected to the 2019 Best Lawyers in America list for Workers Compensation Law, an honor based on rigorous peer review.

Inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America list is based on votes from attorneys throughout the state who nominate their peers.
