New hires and promotions
Russell Newman has been promoted from assistant to associate professor of English at Penn Highlands Community College.
He began his career as a full time faculty member in January 2014.
Matthew Sisak has been promoted from assistant to associate professor of biological sciences at Penn Highlands Community College.
He has been employed full-time by the college since 2014.
Richard Bukoski, assistant professor of communication and media studies, has been granted tenure at Penn Highlands Community College.
He began his career as a full-time faculty member in August 2013.
Kevin Slonka, assistant professor of computer science, has been granted tenure at Penn Highlands Community College.
He began his career as a full-time faculty member in January 2013.
Martina Antony, Grayson Goldman, Cory Gray, Alexander Pozun and Abram Weimer, graduates from the Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center residency program, have joined Conemaugh Physician Group — Emergency Medicine.
All five physicians are members of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and now work as attending physicians in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Course completions and certifications
Scott A. Magnetti recently completed his second year of a three-year program at the Advanced School of Banking through the Pennsylvania Bankers Association.
Magnetti, who is vice president and senior business development officer at 1st Summit Bank, is responsible for commercial lending and business development covering the northern area of Cambria, Blair, Centre and Bedford counties.
