Jason Snyder has been hired by Pinnacle Treatment Centers Network as its regional director of outpatient services in Eastern Pennsylvania.

Snyder, a leader in the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, was most recently the Special Assistant to the Human Services secretary. In that role, he assisted the secretary and other executive staff on the establishment of policies about addiction initiatives. He has been a frequent speaker to stakeholders across the Commonwealth.

He will manage eight locations, including State College Medical.

Emily Korns has been named by Conemaugh Health System as the director of marketing communications. She is responsible for marketing, advertising, public relations and communications for the regional healthcare provider.

Korns worked as a director of corporate affairs for food manufacturer Mars Inc. until 2017, when she started her own consulting firm.

She has also held marketing and communications roles at General Nutrition Centers and Gerber Products Co., and she practiced as a dietitian in Pittsburgh and Somerset.

Awards and honors

Stephanie A. Stohon, shareholder and quality control officer at Wessel & Co., Johnstown, has been selected by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants as one of four 2018 Women to Watch award recipients.

The PICPA’s Women to Watch award is part of the AICPA’s national recognition program to honor outstanding women who lead the profession through personal growth and leadership development of colleagues.

Retirements

Steve Tucker, Conemaugh Health System CEO, will retire effective Sept. 7 after 33 years of service.

Tucker joined Conemaugh Health System in 1985 and led the Conemaugh Memorial campus for more than 30 years in various leadership roles before being named CEO of the health system in 2016.
