B2B CFO recognized

B2B CFO recently was named a Small Giant by Forbes Magazine, joining the ranks of a select group of U.S.-based companies that share the accolade. Steve Koval is a local partner with B2B CFO and serves the central Pennsylvania market, including several clients in the Altoona area.

Teeter Group open house set

An open house will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. July 3 at the Teeter Group’s new location at 104 W. Penn St., Martinsburg.

The Teeter Group is an independent insurance agency handling all types of business insurance, workers’ compensation, farm insurance, homeowners, automobile, motorcycle, umbrella, life and disability insurance.

IRC sets waste collection

The Intermunicipal Relations Committee will host the annual household hazardous waste collection from noon to 5 p.m. July 13 and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 14 at Peoples Natural Gas Field.

Acceptable items are: aerosols, antifreeze, automotive batteries, corrosive acids and bases, flammable liquids, solids and adhesives, fluorescent light bulbs, garden chemicals, herbicides, fungicides, pesticides, used motor oil, oil-based paints, oil filters, paint solvents, organic peroxides, oxidizing liquids and solids, poisonous liquids and solids, pool chemicals, PCB ballast and capacitors, reactive and non-reactive chemicals and indeterminate chemicals. No other items will be accepted at this event.

Material from businesses will not be collected without a preregistration appointment.

Small businesses are invited to register for the event and may do so by June 29. Businesses that are interested in registering should send a copy of the inventory that includes: material name and manufacturer (if known), container size, number of containers, type of waste and contact info to the IRC at kpope@ircenvironment.org. Businesses will be given an appointment time for the morning of July 13.
