Nehemiah Project to host Leadercast

Area residents have the opportunity to participate in the world’s largest one-day leadership conference.

Known as Leadercast 2018, the conference will be simulcasted May 4 to more than 700 sites in 20 countries — including a location in Altoona — from the Infinite Energy Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Nehemiah Project will host the event live for local leaders from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Trans4mation Church, 1001 S. First St.

The Nehemiah Project is hosting the event “as a way of investing in the leadership of the Altoona community and to help it grow, to be more effective,” said Peter Joudry, CEO for The Nehemiah Project.

Leaders in the private and public sector have partnered with The Nehemiah Project to improve Altoona’s Lower Fairview neighborhood and to help it grow.

The Leadership 2018 simulcast will present nationally known speakers explaining the importance of leading yourself in order to lead others. Ways for developing leadership skills and style will be specified.

“The conference will provide principles for leaders to lead themselves, giving them abilities and flexibility to lead others,” Joudry said.

Early bird pricing of $79 per person is available through April 20. On April 21, the price increases to $89 per ticket.

To register for Leadercast 2018, or for more information, contact Joudry at pajoudry@aol.com or 703-785-3796. People may also visit live.leadercast.com.

A catered breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.
